Information for Passengers

  • Our Location

We are located at Hangar 53, Camden Airport - accessed via Macquarie Grove Road.

Using our Google Maps interface below you can obtain detailed directions from your departure point.

  • Our Facility

Hangar 53 is the first hangar you come across driving in to the Airport.

Free car parking is available at the front of our facility.

We have drink and snack vending machines available in our hangar.

Camden township is a two minute drive away where there are a number of cafes, restaurants and take-away options for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Our facility and airside areas are strictly no smoking areas.

  • On The Day

On the day of your flight please call on (02) 4655 7200 for confirmation prior to travelling to the airport.

Plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled flight time.

The safety of our customers and staff is paramount, your comfort is also considered. Occasionally we will recommend or require flights to be rescheduled for a variety of reasons including:
    • Strong winds
    • Turbulence
    • Low cloud
    • Rain showers
    • Poor visibility
    • Extreme high temperatures
    • Maintenance requirements
    • Pilot unavailability

As a rule flights in vintage aircraft and flights involving aerobatics generally require good weather to operate.

If we anticipate any problems we will call you as soon as possible to reschedule or offer you an alternative flight option if possible.

  • Clothing

When flying in open-cockpit aircraft (Tiger Moth & Stearman) it is important to dress warm during cooler months.

You can expect it to be at least 10 degrees colder at altitude than on the ground, and quite breezy! Camden can be significantly cooler early in the morning than the city - it is not uncommon for it to be near or below freezing many mornings during winter.

For all other flights relaxed comfortable clothing and enclosed footwear is recommended.

  • Motion Sickness

A light meal for breakfast or lunch prior to your flight is recommended - not eating in an attempt to avoid motion sickness can be detrimental.

Your pilot will be in constant communication with you during the flight. By monitoring your progress the flight will be adapted to ensure you are comfortable at all times. All aircraft have sick bags available.

  • Weight / Size Limits

Customers will be required to supply their weight during check-in for their flight.

Many of our flights stipulate a maximum weight limit - weight limits for specific flights can be found in our Joy Flights section. Vintage aircraft and aircraft engaged in aerobatic operations can have restrictive weight limits.

Some aircraft are smaller than others. If you have a particularly large stomach it may interfere or restrict operation of the flight controls in certain aircraft and this cannot be permitted.

  • Friends and Family

We welcome friends and family to share the experience with you.

For many of our joy flights your spectators will be able to view you taking off and landing just a short distance from the runway.
